Application and Scholarships
Thanks to generousity of our sponsor (Microsoft Research), we will provide scholarships to a limited number of students attending the school. Different kind of scholarships are provided :
1) Students not taking part in COSI'09 satellite event wishing to apply must follow the following procedure:
- Students studying computer/information science and operation research at a university in a north african or middle east country may apply for a scholarship. Applications from lecturers at very needy institutions will also be considered.
- Applications should include a short CV as well as a one-page statement explaining why you wish to attend the Summer School on decision aiding and why financial aid is required. Note: applications will be made available to our sponsors.
- Applications should be submitted directly via email to Oukacha Brahim (with a copy to Farouk Toumani) as soon as possible, and in any case before May 10 ,2009
- A decision will be sent to each applicant after the reception of the application.
- Scholarships will be used to offset the fee (accommodation, meals, special events, notes, and conference facilities) and will not be paid out to attendees.
- It is a condition of the sponsorship money that scholarships may not be paid to one country only.
Normally, scholarships will not cover travel, but you may describe any special travel hardships in your scholarship application.
2) Students taking part in COSI'2009 satellite event wishing to apply must follow the following procedure:
-Applications should include, the authors and the title of their COSI'2009 presentation, current school level (phd thesis, master, magister), few keywords describing their research domain, University or research institution.
- Applications should be submitted directly via email to Oukacha Brahim (with a copy to Farouk Toumani) as soon as possible, and in any case before May 10 ,2009
- A decision will be sent to each applicant after the reception of the application.
3) Others
As we whish that the summer school will be beneficial to the maximum number of attendees, the summer schooll will be open to senior researcher from academic and industry, in the limit of the room conference capacity. Application are also open, but the subsistences expenses (accomodations etc.) are the responsibility of the applicant. A CV and a statement of interest must be sent via email to Oukacha Brahim (with a copy to Farouk Toumani) before May 10 ,2009.
