Decision aiding is concerned with the development of new formal models and algorithms for decision making. They range from optimisation techniques to cognitive approaches, from artificial intelligence tools to multiple criteria decision analysis methods. Decision aiding is an interdiscilinary resaerch area, it bring togteher many research domain such as operation research, artificial intelligence and computer science. The summer school on decision aiding, is organized in conjunction with the fourth International Conference on Optimisation and Information Systems (COSI’2007) where decision aiding is one of its major topics.
The summer school aims at,
- bringing together researcher from different domains related to
decision aiding (operation research, artificial intelligence and
computer science)
- allowing discussion and connections between academic researcher
and industrial practitionner
- offering to scholarships review and highlight on the recent
theoritical and practical advances in decision aiding
- contributing to research animation in Algeria
In addition to this traditional topic, this year we add a new topic related to general area of composition and end user programming. This has the advantage to allow decision makers and supporting IT personels to integrate various decision making applications into a coherent framework.
